OK Fulton
OK is a charter member of the Arizona Coaches Hall of Fame. The gymnasium at Agua Fria bears his name. OK has been extremely active in all Hall of Fame activities since its inception in 1984. Fulton served as the HOF Secretary for the first 30 years of its 37 year existence. Coach Fulton is currently serving on the Executive Board of the HOF. Ok and Honk Norton were the master's of ceremony at the HOF inductions for 11 years. Fulton and Norton were college basketball team mates at Eastern Arizona College in the 1950's. OK's basketball teams were always good. His Owls won State Titles in 1962, 1965, and 1966. His 1967 and 1971 teams were state runners-up. OK was also an outstanding golf coach. The Owls were State Champions 3 years running (1971, 72, and 73). They were the State Runners-Up in golf in 1974. Coach Fulton has been active in the ACA and the HOF for years serving his peers. Fulton served as an All Star coach twice and was the President of the old ACA two times. OK has also been honored as the National Athletic Director of the Year, The National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame (1999), the President of the Arizona School Administrators Association, the ASA Principal of the Year, and he presented Randall McDaniel to the audience at McDaniel's induction to the National Football League Hall of Fame.
Coach Fulton was honored by the Executive Board of the Hall of Fame with a lifetime service award at the 2019 HOF Induction Banquet. Coah Fulton passed away in Litchfield Park, AZ with his wife Judy by his side on Friday, January 17, 2020.
