Craig Cummins

Craig Cummins coached cross country, swimming, and was an athletic trainer at Mesa Westwood high school for 37 total years.  His swimming teams were outstanding.  Cummins' Westwood Warriors were the Class 5A State Swimming Champions six times (1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1975, 1976).  The Warriors were the State Runners-Up in 1974, 1981, 1982, and 1985.  They placed third at the State Meet in 1978, 1979, and 1986.  Cummins has also been inducted into the Mesa City Sports Hall of Fame and the National Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014.

Brian Metheny

Brian  Metheny was a solid and successful swimming coach at Washington High School in the 1970's.  Coach Metheny's Rams won back to back 5A State Swimming Titles in 1973 and 1974.  His 1976 boys were the 5A State Runners-Up, and his 1972 and 1975 teams were third at the State Meet. 

Gerald Seaquist

Gerald "Gerry" Seaquist led his Xavier Prep Gators to ten state swimming titles.  The Gators were #1 in the years 1985, 89, 91, 92,93,94,95,96,97, and 1999.  Coach Seaquist was also the State Runner-Up twice during that span.
