Walter "Reedy" David Jr.

Reedy began his 23 year storied career as head basketball coach at Alchesay High School in 1977. Highlights of his tenure at Alchesay include; five consecutive years as 2A Regional Champions from 1990 through 1994, four appearances in the state finals and a State Championship in 1993. He was the head coach of the 2A North All-Star team and named State Coach of the year in 1993. He has also been named Region Coach of the Year three times. He was especially proud of his team’s consistent behavior off the floor.

William Farrell

Bill started his high school coaching career not in basketball but as the freshman football coach at St. Mary’s High School where his teams went 30 - 0. He also initiated the first competitive boys golf team at St. Mary’s. In 1975, Bill was named head basketball coach at Paradise Valley High School where he coached until 1998. His Paradise Valley teams won state championships in 1995 and 1997, were state runners-up in 1994 and region champions nine times. His teams posted nearly 200 wins and an overall winning percentage 60%.

Kenneth Troutt

Kenneth Troutt coached boys' basketball in Arizona for 26 years, four as an assistant at Westwood, and a combined 22 more years as the head coach at Cactus and Peoria High Schools.  Troutt's teams won over 60% of their games with 301 total victories.  His boys were the Arizona State Champions in 1994, State Runners-Up twice, and the region champions six times.  Troutt was named the Arizona High School Basketball Coach of the Year in 1994, Region Coach of  the Year 3 times, and West Valley Coach of the Year 4 times.  He was an Arizona Coaches Association Assistant All-Star Coach in 1989.   C

Sam Ballard

Sam began his 20 year secondary coaching career at Judson High school in 1978 and was head coach at Camelback and Mountain Pointe High schools for a total of 17 years before moving to the community college ranks.  Coach Ballard's head coaching record included 339 wins and a 65% winning percentage.  His 1980 Judson squad was the State Champion and his teams were also in the Elite Eight 4 times, and the Final Four twice. Ballard's teams were also the Central Region champions 4 times.  Sam was named the Arizona State High School Coach of the Year 3 times and the Region Coach of the Year 5 time
