Herman McArthur

Herman McArthur was a career athletic trainer and supporter of the Arizona Coaches Association at Winslow High School.  Coach McArthur kept athletes healthy and on the field or court at many of the Winslow athletic contests.  Coach McArthur assisted the likes of Emil Nasser, Carl Weatherton, Cranny Hysong, and Art Griffith at Winslow (all Hall of Fame coaches).  Coach McArthur's Bulldog wrestlers won five State 4A Wrestling Championships from 1964 through 1970.

Norma Bellamy

Norma Bellamy was the second woman inducted into the Arizona Coaches Hall of Fame in 1992.  That was the only time Coach Bellamy was second.  During her long and illustrious career at Safford, Norma's Lady Bulldogs collected 21 (yes, twenty-one) Arizona State Volleyball Titles.  Although Safford has historically been competing in the 3A/4A, many of the Lady Bulldog's victories came over 4A and 5A teams from the Tucson area.  By the time Coach Bellamy retired in 1994, her teams combined for an unheard of 520-33 record.   The AIA honored Norma Bellamy in the year 2000 as the "Coach of the Cen

Terry Nodlinski

Terry Nodlinski was an outstanding football and baseball coach.  He had great years in Payson, Tolleson, Independence, Gila Bend, and Yuma Catholic.  Coach "Nods" led his Payson Longhorns to State Runners-Up in 1976 and 1986.  Coach Terry's 1981 Longhorns were undefeated and the 2A State Champions.  Terry was also an accomplished baseball coach.  Coach Nodlinski finished his career as the Athletic Director at Yuma Catholic High School.  Coach Nodlinski passed away on January 1, 2016.

Marland "Honk" Norton

Marland "Honk" Norton coached basketball at Fort Thomas, Arizona in the 1960's.  Coach Norton served on the Executive Board of the High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame for many years.  Honk is a figurehead of high school athletics with his coaching success and many years of service to the Arizona Coaches Association, the All-Star games held in Thatcher in the 80's and 90's, and his perennial support to the Hall of Fame since its inception.  Norton has been a familiar figure on the dais of the Hall of Fame as the emcee at the inductions for thirty years.   Coach Norton's Ft.

Paul Nelson

Coach Paul Nelson (third from left in the current picture) coached the Thatcher Eagles from 1974 to 1992.  He had an overall record of 425-104.  Coach Nelson's teams earned 9 State Championships and 5 State Runners-Up.  Coach Nelson was the Arizona Republic Coach of the Year in 1981 and 1986.  He was the Arizona Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1981, 1983, and 1991.  Coach Nelson's Girls' Tennis teams also won 7 State Titles and 1 Runner-Up.  Coach Nelson has also been inducted into the Thatcher High School Sports Hall of Fame.
