Bev Bostrom

Bev coached volleyball for 20 years, 15 as head coach at Maryvale and Carl Hayden High Schools, and 5 years as an assistant.  Coach Bostrom's girls won 114 matches and won over 51% of their games.  Bostrom was the Phoenix Coaches Association Volleyball Coach of the Year in 1975 and 1979.  She was the ACA Volleyball All Star Coach in 1980 and has been a clinic speaker for the ACA on numerous occasions.  Coach was the president of the Arizona Association of Volleyball Coaches 8 times and was inducted into their specific Hall of Fame in 1990.  Coach Bostrom is widely known for her selfless dev

Ed Long

  Ed began his long and storied career at Glendale High School as a biology teacher, frosh football, and junior varsity basketball coach.  He moved to the Phoenix Union High School District in 1950.  He coached for another 10 years at Phoenix Union High School and set a standard of discipline and excellence that remained the staple of PUHS until its closure in 1982.  Coach Long's basketball teams won four state championships in a five year span.  During that era, the Coyotes won 55 consecutive games (still the state 5A record).  Coach Long was named the Phoenix Union District Athletic Direc

Arbia Jones

Dan Reid

Danny Reid retired in 1996 after serving as head track coach at Payson High School for 13 years and Mayer High School for 5 years.  He was the assistant coach 4 years prior.  He recorded 68 wins with a winning percentage of 67%.  Coach Reid's thin clads won 4 State Class 3A State Titles, 3 State-Runners-Up, and 8 Region Titles.  Coach Reid was named the Arizona Coaches Association Track Coach of the Year in 1990 and the Region Eight Track Coach of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association.  Coach was the president of the Arizona Track Coaches Association in 1995 and 1996, and
