Ollie Mayfield was the head football coach for the Tucson High School Badgers over 40 years ago.  Ollie was a charter member of this Hall of Fame.  His 1970 and 1971 teams were the large school state champions. Ollie never had a losing season at Tucson and Sabino and his final football record was 134 wins, 34 losses, and 1 tie.  The Arizona Daily Star named him the Coach of the Decade for 1970-80. Coach Mayfield had two sons go into education and coaching.  Ollie's son, Todd, won a football state title at Tucson Palo Verde in 2005.
