David Hines

David began coaching as a Track and Football coach as an assistant coach at Tempe High School
in 1977 and finished with a 14-year career as the head Track coach at Mesa and Red Mountain
High Schools. Over that time his teams won 81% of their meets. His teams won four Region
Championships, was State Runner-up four times and was the State Champion in 1988. David
also won a State Cross Country championship while at Red Mountain High School. He has been
a speaker at the National Coaches Association Conference, Arizona Track Coaches Conference

Sue Hysong

Sue has been a head track and field coach for 38 years, eight years at Tolleson Union High and 30 years at Westview High, and remains an active coach today. Her teams have won the State Title four times, been Runner-up once, captured Region Titles on 10 occasions and posted a 75% winning percentage.

John Walter Edge

After an outstanding high school career as hurdler and 440 yarder at Camp Verde and ASU, Walter began teaching and coaching at Bisbee High School in 1966, first as an assistant track coach from 1969 through 1982 and then as head coach from 1983 through today. During his amazing 47 year career, his boys and girls teams have won 14 state championships, were state runners-up eight times and captured 22 region titles. He has coached 83 boys individual state champions and 23 individual girls state champions.

Charles "Chuck" Hardt

Chuck Hardt spent his entire storied coaching career at Payson High School.  He served in the unique position as both girls and boys track coach for 21 years, with 5 of those years being the assistant coach.  His teams won four Arizona State Championships, one State Runner-Up, ad six Region crowns.  Coach Hardt was honored as Arizona State Track Coach of the Year in 2001 by the ATCCA and named Region Coach of the Year six times.  He also assisted in varsity football for 7 years and the 1981 Longhorns won that gridiron State Title.  Chuck also coached basketball as a head coach and assistant

Cranston Hysong

Cranston began his 31 year head coaching career at Winslow High School in 1970 where he coached the Bulldogs for 11 years.  Hysong was also a head coach at both Tolleson and Westview for 10 years each.  Coach Hysong's teams won over 271 track meets and won over 60% of them overall.  Cranny's track teams have won 5 Arizona State Championships, placed second 4 times, and were region champions 9 times.  The Arizona Interscholastic Association named Coach Hysong the 3A North Track Coach of the Year on three occasions.  Coach Hysong was named the Region 8 Coach of the Year by the National High S
