Bill Taylor

Bill Taylor coached over 20 years at Bisbee High School in southeastern Arizona.  Coach Taylor led his Pumas to an amazing 11 state titles.  The Pumas were the Class 4A Boys State Track Champions in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, and 1976.  In the 3A class, the Pumas were the State Champions in 1963, 1964, 1967,  1968, and 1977.

Craig Cummins

Craig Cummins coached cross country, swimming, and was an athletic trainer at Mesa Westwood high school for 37 total years.  His swimming teams were outstanding.  Cummins' Westwood Warriors were the Class 5A State Swimming Champions six times (1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1975, 1976).  The Warriors were the State Runners-Up in 1974, 1981, 1982, and 1985.  They placed third at the State Meet in 1978, 1979, and 1986.  Cummins has also been inducted into the Mesa City Sports Hall of Fame and the National Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014.

Paul Reynolds

Paul Reynolds was an outstanding baseball coach and teacher at Snowflake High School in the 1970's and 1980's.  Coach Reynolds led the Snowflake Lobos to 4 appearances in the state finals.  The Lobos were the Class 3A State Champions in 1981 and 1987.  They were the State Runners-Up in 1985 and 1986.  With the addition of the 1970 state title team, Snowflake is one of the very few schools north of the Mogollon Rim to win multiple state titles. Coach Reynolds was also a key assistant coach in many of the glory years of Snowflake's football teams. 

Hector Bejarano

Hector Bejarano will always be remembered as a great basketball coach and a great leader of the Hispanic community.  Coach "B", as he was fondly called, led the North High School Mustangs to five Division 4A-II State Basketball Championship appearances.  The Mustangs were the best in 1988, 1990, and 1991.  Bejarano's boys were State Runners-Up twice in a row (1986 and 1987) to Carl Hayden by the tight scores of 50-48 and 50-47.  Coach "B" passed away in 2009.

Jerry Conner

Jerry Conner has led his teams to over 500 wins in boy's basketball during his career.  Shadow Mountain High School has named its gym after him.  Conner opened the program at Shadow Mountain in 1974.  The Matadors handed him the 1996 4A State Basketball title with High School All-American Mike Bibby as his point guard. The Matadors were the State Runner-Up in 1995.   Coach Conner has been named the Basketball Coach of the Year 3 times during his tenure.  Later in his career, Coach Conner opted to move to ;Horizon High School to lead a 5A Division I program--but another school in the same Pa
