Bob Kelly

Bob Kelly coached baseball at Yuma and Kofa High Schools for 36 years.  He was the head coach at Yuma for 21 years.  Kelly also coached football, basketball, and boys/girls golf. His overall baseball record was 299-159.  Coach Kelly was the ACA All Star Coach for the South Team in 1967.  Bob was the dedicatee for the 1969 ACA All Star Baseball Game.  Coach was also on the football staff for the 1956 ACA All Star Football Game. 

Gil Corona

Gil Corona showed up at Arizona State Teacher's College (now Northern Arizona University) in Flagstaff in 1940.  Coach joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 at the beginning of WW II for the USA.  He was a Tech Sergeant and radioman on a B-26 bomber.  He was shot down on his 25th mission near Rome and the Tiber River in June of 1943.  He spent the next 2 years in German prison camps until he was liberated by General George S.

Jack Chisum

Jack Chisum led the Miami Vandals to the Arizona State Class 3A Baseball Championships in 1979 and 1980.  Chisum coached at Holbrook before moving to Miami for a total of 26 years in high school athletics.  Jack was the victorious ACA South Baseball Coach in 1979.  The Arizona Republic naes Chisum the Coahc or the Year AA-C in 1980.  Chisum's final record was 230-195.
